Caustic was created in 2002 by Madison, Wisconsin’s Matt Fanale. Like “Trent Reznor is Nine Inch Nails,” Matt Fanale is Caustic.
Caustic live consists of a rotating band of freaks, depending on the city, but Caustic’s main line-up consists of Brian/darkNES and Katja/DJ :EYG of THE GOTHSICLES, and Eric Gottesman of EVERYTHING GOES COLD.
Caustic has performed over the years with dozens, if not zillions, of other artists/bands, including ATARI TEENAGE RIOT, MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT, COMBICHRIST, KMFDM, THIS MORN’ OMINA, GRENDEL, GOD MODULE, APOPTYGMA BERZERK, FADERHEAD and many, many more. He’s also done dozens of remixes.
Fanale is also in more side projects than he has any right to be, including PRUDE (with Jared Louche of CHEMLAB, amongst others), PARASITE TWIN with Brian Schuh, and THE CAUSTICLES with Brian of The Gothsicles.
